Welcome to the new TAMU PDA website!

The Texas A&M University (TAMU) Postdoctoral Association (PDA) is a postdoc-led organization with the goal of providing support and representation for over 800 postdoctoral trainees appointed in over 100 departments at TAMU. Our PDA is supported by the TAMU Department of Research (DoR) and Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR).

 

The first step as a new postdoc at TAMU is to sign-up for the TAMU Postdoc Listserv by clicking here.

 

We encourage you to  get involved with the PDA as a committee member by contacting the respective committee chair here.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Postdoctoral Association (PDA) shall be to foster a sense of community among the postdoctoral scholars, to be an advocate and a representative voice of the postdoctoral scholars at TAMU, and to improve the quality of the postdoctoral experience at TAMU.

Our History

It all started with a vision from Dr. Glen Laine, TAMU Vice President of Research.

Dr. Teresa Wilcox got the ball rolling and the steering committee wrote the PDA's bylaws in late 2016.
